We want you to join us as we build a space game developed and run by the community. In the near future we will begin auctioning off Ships on our site. The majority of the proceeds from these auctions will be placed in a community run DAO in which every ship represents a vote. The DAO will vote on in-game proposals and the overall future of The Vast. We're also giving away up to 10% of all in-game SpaceDust tokens to everyone who joins our discord. These programmable tokens will fuel the in-game economy of The Vast.
Collect
Every ship will be randomly generated and verifiably unique. With 10 different ship types, numerous rarity levels, and different fleet configurations the possibilities are endless.
Manage
Every ship owner will become part of The Vast DAO which will determine how to allocate in-game funds as well as propose and vote on the future of the game itself.
Play
Use ships to go beyond the demilitarized zone and explore The Vast. Risk having to battle others as you reveal new regions of space that will be added to the game's starmap on-chain. Find rare ship upgrades, SpaceDust, or other demilitarized zones that can be claimed by fleets.
Invest
SpaceDust is an in-game, programmable token that can be used to make conditional transactions. For example, lock SpaceDust tokens in contracts for future services rendered by repair ships, cargo ships, or those wishing to serve as mercenaries for hire.
The Vast Game
For millennia the known universe had been ruled peacefully by a seemingly unbreakable alliance. Until the day a group of unknown aggressors threw everything into chaos and unprovoked battles. Now all that is left is a safe demilitarized zone and what survivors have come to call "The Vast", the endless vastness of space filled with mystery, danger, and the hope of priceless treasures and operational upgrades left in the debris and rubble. With trust at a premium, only small fleets can call themselves true allies, as they set out to explore and scavenge the unknown expanse of space.
